We shot 'My Best Enemy' in the Summer of 2017, in an abandoned house, operated by 'Location Works'. The majority of this film takes place in a single room, where Laura seems to be trapped. Tom (her apparent friend) enters the space and begins to taunt her with false slander, ultimately reducing her confidence to the ground, whilst placing her on house arrest. We later realise that this is just her imagination. The film is a visual reflection of how we sometimes convince ourselves that we're not good enough to achieve something. 

 

I shot the film on a RED Dragon with Leica Lenses and lit the room with a single overhead source and a bounced 1.2HMI from the side window. A couple of additional lamps were used for the closeups, including a 4 bank Diva and a cuple of Dedo lights.
